Laundry: Use about 1/3 cup per load – a little more for hard water. Castile Liquid Soap may be neutralized by detergent residues in the machine so use enough to get the barest start of foam on top. You may have to use a little extra the first time. Best to mix into warm water before adding the clothes. Great for hand-washing most silks and fine fabrics, wool and suede (may darken). Bleach compatible.
Toilet Cleaner: Use full strength and may want to add a few drops of essential oil, mix into sponge or cleaning brush or pour all ingredients in a 16 oz or larger squirt bottle, and shake to mix. Squirt in the toilet bowl, and use a brush to scrub it clean.
Walls & Woodwork: Dilute 1/4 cup per 1 gallon of hot water. Clean, rinse and let dry.
Outdoor Uses for Castile Soap
Ant Spray: Add 1/4 cup of tea tree soap to a quart of water and stir to mix. Spray indoors or outdoors, wherever ants are accumulating. Do not use on plants, as this concentration will burn plants.
Washing cars/vehicles: Mix a capful into pail of water, use sponge or wet clothe to wipe over surface and rinse. Avoid washing in direct sunlight. Test on a small inconspicuous area prior to use.
